Academy Administrator Intern
D.C. United is seeking applicants for an Academy Administrator Internship Position. The candidate will assist with the administrative, logistical, and communications aspects for D.C. United Academy as directed by the Head Academy Administrator. This position will offer the candidate hands-on experience in a high-level collaborative team-sport environment. The candidate will gain an understanding of the daily workings and the environment in elite sport. The candidate will gain a conceptional understanding of how to plan and organize short-term and long-term plans, from day-to-day planning to larger scale preparation for specific events. This internship is aimed towards those seeking to grow into an Admin, Operations, and Communications position. The individual must possess a strong desire to learn and grow. This is an unpaid internship.
Fall season: August 12th – December 13th
Minimum Qualifications:
- Working towards/possess a four-year bachelor's degree
- Must be familiar with various software platforms including, but not limited to, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Must be able to professionally communicate both in-person and in digital formats
Preferred Qualifications
- 0-2 years’ experience as an administrator, in operations, or a related field
- Experience working in soccer
- Experience working in a team-sport setting
- Experience in scheduling and/or logistic planning (working with flight agents, hotels, catering companies, etc.)
All candidates must have a valid driver’s license and complete a successful background check.
